Federman, Lally & Remis has always been, well, Federman, Lally and Remis. Three partners. A trio. Now we have doubled to become Federman, Lally, Remis, Barnard, Goodwin & Toross. Not exactly a catchy name and pretty tough on the front desk to answer the phone. So while we keep the old name, we have nevertheless changed forever. The development and experience of our people and the complexities of our growing practice dictate that we expand our inner circle. The fact is, we don’t really make partners; we don’t even admit partners. We acknowledge partners. Long before this formal announcement, Wes Barnard, Scott Goodwin and Stephen Toross have practiced in that role. They each carried heavy technical and professional responsibilities. To the clients with whom they work closely, this announcement is far from a surprise, it is an acknowledgement of the respect in which they are held and the work they do.
 
So now we are six. A lot of good things work well in sixes. Six strings on a guitar. A six pack. A cube has six sides. And there’s a half dozen other things! As we grow and our professionals develop, we look forward with optimism. For now, six is a good number.
