Stephen A. Toross, CPA
Steve is a Tax Partner with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining the firm, Steve worked in the tax practices of both national and regional accounting firms where he managed a diverse client base.
Professional Experience
Steve’s practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate and partnership tax matters, with a strong concentration within the real estate industry. He has extensive experience in all facets of partnership taxation including debt and equity transactions, transaction structuring, real estate development and strategic business planning. In addition, Steve provides sophisticated tax planning services to closely held business organizations and high net worth individuals.
Education and Certifications
Steve received a Bachelor of Science in 1984 and a Master of Science in Taxation in 1992 from the University of Hartford. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut.
Steve has lectured extensively on tax-related subjects to numerous professional organizations including the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also taught tax classes for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Besides being a member of MetroHartford Alliance, Steve is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and past member of the Federal Tax Committee; as well as a member of the tax division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
